What we can move

From a small fishing boat on its trailer to a larger powerboat or sailboat that needs specialized handling, we line up the right rig for the load. Trailered watercraft is the most straightforward, and we also coordinate flatbed and oversized transport when a boat has to ship off the trailer.

A little prep goes a long way. Secure or remove loose gear, electronics, and canvas, note the exact dimensions and weight, and tell us if any permits might apply. We handle the routing and the paperwork so it arrives safely.

What boat transport costs

Trailered boats price much like oversized vehicles: distance, the combined boat-and-trailer dimensions and weight, and the season set the number. A beam over 8 feet 6 inches usually requires an oversize permit and sometimes escort rules, which we arrange and fold into your all-in price, so the quote you lock is the number you pay. The fastest way to see a real figure is the instant quote with your route and the boat's specs.

On the trailer or off

Shipping on your own roadworthy trailer is the simplest and most affordable path: the rig tows or deck-loads as one unit. If the boat has no trailer, we coordinate flatbed or step-deck transport with proper cradles and blocking, plus lift arrangements on each end. Either way it is door-to-door, dock-to-driveway service with a single point of contact.

Jet skis and personal watercraft are the easy case: on their trailers they often ride along with a vehicle shipment, so if you are moving a car and a PWC together, tell us and we will quote the combined move on one booking.

Prep checklist before pickup

Ten minutes of prep protects your boat and your claim rights: drain water systems and fuel to the level we advise, disconnect the battery, secure hatches and cabin doors, remove or strap down canvas, antennas and electronics, and photograph the hull and deck from all sides. Note the exact length, beam, height and weight on your quote so the right equipment shows up the first time.

Scheduling and the boating calendar

Boat transport follows the water: spring launch season and fall haul-out are the busiest windows, so booking a week or two ahead in those months gets you better dates and pricing, while mid-summer and winter moves usually schedule fast. Pickup is typically arranged within one to five days of booking, and transit time tracks the same interstate corridors as our vehicle lanes. We coordinate directly with marinas, storage yards and dealers on both ends when the boat is not at your home.

Insurance and condition documentation

Every boat we arrange moves with a licensed, insured motor carrier, and we verify active cargo coverage before pickup, exactly as we do for vehicles. The driver documents the hull, deck and trailer condition with photos at pickup and again at delivery, so the rare claim is straightforward instead of an argument. Your quote is all-in, covering the carrier, fuel and that cargo coverage, and nothing is due until your carrier is assigned.
